What’s worse than realizing that your daily anti aging face cream isn’t doing you right?
Lots of news about mercury being found in an imported face product a California woman was using for a copious amount of years has been surfacing the internet for the past week or so.
I’ve read about several articles describing what happened. All of them involving a sudden comatose state the woman had supposedly underwent.
But the truth is, she didn’t actually slip into a coma like the headlines described. She just couldn’t feel her limbs and felt extremely faint with memory problems. Either way, she ended up in the emergency room literally because of a face product from the pharmacy.
Mercury poisoning can come in a few different forms. All of them resulting into a coma for sure, but if you catch it soon enough, you’re alright.
What you can’t take back, is the high levels of mercury that could potentially cross over into the brain. Once this happens, there’s no treatment or medication you could use to take it out.
So moral of the story, if the face cream you’re using is imported from Mexico….I’d probably throw it out.

But I’m currently using the Protini Polypeptide Cream by Drunk Elephant and I can’t put into words how well it works.
It has a very creamy texture in which you really have to work into the skin. I use it in the morning and at night and it leaves my skin feeling bright and hydrated every time.
The best part?
You’re not going to be sent to the hospital after consistent applications. 10/10 would recommend. 🙂
I’ll definitely be writing more about this product after the fall weather sets in if my skin still reacts to it well.
